Variations
CLICK HERE TO GET A "A THEME" RINGTONE The Yep Roc Records debut of North Carolina's Cities has just been reimagined by Ladytron, Daedelus, Fog, and Free the Robots. The remixers have tweaked the knobs to create a limited edition 4-song vinyl EP. The already danceable tracks are now dangerously seductive. Please beware. The Big Takeover called the Cities "America's next great rock hope," and their homegrown roots got Jane Magazine's chest pumping, saying, "It does my American heart proud... if you dig epic sounds like early-Radiohead, Interpol, and Sunny Day Real Estate, you'd best check them out." Look for this EP if you're a fan of Ladytron, Daedelus, Fog, electronic music, remix bandits, bedroom producers, and indie rock saviors. This is a limited edition LP, there will only be one press of Variations on vinyl. Be sure to get yours now! All orders of this album come with a free digital version which you can download from your Stash right away! ***PLEASE NOTE*** The track listing for the LP is as follows: A-Side Writing On The Wall (Ladytron Remix) OOC (Fog Remix) B-Side Lounge Act (Daedelus Remix) Capitol (Free The Robots Remix

Cities
CLICK HERE TO GET A "A THEME" RINGTONE Cities - four bright-eyed college kids, keen on creating a decidedly American brand of melancholic, but hooky, indie rock - have a bone to pick with those hipster highbrows focusing their attention across the pond. The band's self-titled Yep Roc debut slices through Brit-influenced post-punk with mid-90's, layered guitar rock, and the organic, indie aesthetic that was born in Chapel Hill, NC. The band has continually honed its sound while playing sold-out shows with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, We Are Scientists, Thunderbirds Are Now!, Unwed Sailor, Engine Down, and I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness, wowing audiences with their cathartic, near-feral live show. Committing Cities' sound to record was up to Brian Paulson (Beck, Superchunk, Wilco, Rosebuds), whose knack for straightforward production allowed the band to transfer their sweeping, moody epics to disc.
