The greatest rock-country-punkabilly performer of his generation, the Reverend Horton Heat is back after a lengthy recording hiatus with Laughin' and Cryin' with the Reverend Horton Heat. The man that first linked roots and alternative music is taking it back to where his heart is with Laughin' and Cryin'. A pomade-stiff romp down the dusty road less traveled, the album leans toward the hard-drinking, hard-driving 'billy' side of rockabilly with lounge love songs ("Aw, the Humanity"), odes to the good life ("Drinkin' and Smokin' Cigarettes"), comical takes on family life ("Please Don't Take the Baby to the Liquor Store") and country guitar wizardry, Rev-style ("Oh by Jingo!"). Since his breakout album "Smoke 'Em if You Got 'Em" The Rev has gained a diehard cult following who flock to his never ending string of gigs and continue to spread the myth of the biggest, baddest guitar man on the planet - the Reverend Horton Heat. We Three Kings
Do you prefer your Christmas with "sawdust on the floor and blood in its mouth?" (New Music Express) If so, don't bother writing to Santa. Sure, he's a swell guy, but when it comes to "guitars so wild they must have been miked, mixed, and produced in the fiery depths of Hell" (Rolling Stone), St. Nick's axe-handlin' chops ain't what they used to be. But don't fret, this year everybody's favorite psychobilly clergyman Reverend Horton Heat has his own bag of treats for all the goodly little kats and kittens! "We Three Kings" has the holiday licks and tricks you've come to expect from the jolly ol' Rev. as he blazes through 12 classics and an original ("Santa on the Roof"). From "Frosty the Snowman" to "Winter Wonderland," Father Christmas is getting an IV of slapback and gin! So, raise a glass of nog and try to act nice... the Rev's making his list! Digipak.

Revival
Yep Roc is proud to be releasing Revival, a new studio album by the Reverend Horton Heat. Recorded at Last Beat Studio in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas just a block from where the trio played their first gig back in 1985, Revival is a return to Jim Heath's (aka the Rev) roots - musical and geographical. "I got this new lick called the 'hurricane' and I call back on the hurricane on this album for the sake of keeping things really rockin,'" says Heath. For you guitarheads, he's also introducing a new "top secret lick," so listen up! Lyrically, the album's themes "run from death to silly," says Heath, who lost his mother earlier this year. ("Someone in Heaven" is written for her). "Indigo Friends" deals with a friend's heroin addiction, while "Calling in Twisted" is about calling in sick to work ("It's about using the fake cough when you make the call," says Heath, laughing). Renowned producer/engineer Ed Stasium was at the mixing board for Revival.
