Yep Roc Records believes in the vision of each of our Artists. We strive to serve each project based on its unique characteristics. Through strong promotional and marketing efforts, our goal is to reach as large an audience as possible with each new release. Yep Roc was founded in 1997 by Tor Hansen and Glenn Dicker, and is exclusively distributed through Redeye Distribution.

Internships

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at a successful indie record label? As a Yep Roc intern, you’ll get to know the basics of music marketing and what goes into a successful music release.  You’ll leave with published writing samples as well as experience with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics.  Oh, and you might just attend a show or two.

Please send a resume and cover letter to internship coordinator Meredith Gulley at the email address above, with the semester for which you are applying in the subject line (e.g. “Fall 2013 Internship Application”).  In your cover letter, please include:

• Why you want to intern with Yep Roc.
• Your career goals.
• Any additional skills you may have (film production, graphic design, social media prowess, etc.)
• What you’re hoping to get out of this internship.

Feel free to send a writing sample if you have one available.  The documents can be attached as a .pdf, .doc, or sent as a Google Doc (we <3 Google Docs the most).

Yep Roc accepts two interns per semester within the areas of:

• General promotion
• Publicity
• Video editing

Deadlines:

Spring Semester – November 1st
Summer Semester – March 1st
Fall Semester – July 1st
