Los Straitjackets’ “What’s So Funny About Peace, Love and Los Straitjackets” Out Everywhere Today!

What’s So Funny About, Peace, Love and Los Straitjackets, the new album from Los Straitjackets paying tribute to Nick Lowe, is available for purchase and streaming everywhere today.

The album features thirteen Nick Lowe songs done in the unique instrumental Los Straitjackets style that fans know and love.

Los Straitjackets have completed three holiday tours with Nick Lowe. “Recording these songs reminded me what a great melodist Nick is,” observes guitarist and co-found Eddie Angel. “Everybody knows that he writes great lyrics, but he doesn’t always get credit for his amazing melodies. The fact that the songs stand up as instrumentals is proof of that. And I think that we managed to bring something new to the songs, which is what you hope to do when you’re covering other people’s material.”

Los Straitjackets are gearing up for a tour with Marshall Crenshaw, featuring an instrumental set as well as collaborations. Tour dates are below.
