Video Premiere: Eleni Mandell – “Bun in the Oven”

Music has always been present in Eleni Mandell’s life. Since receiving her first record (Shaun Cassidy’s Greatest Hits) for her 4th birthday, Mandell instantly associates musical numbers with all of her fondest memories. Her latest record, I Can See the Future was released this summer, and Paste has the exclusive on her latest video, “Bun in the Oven.”
I Can See the Future was produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, The Strokes, The White Stripes) and consists of a wide variety of musicians.
“Bun in the Oven” grounds itself in quiet guitars and soothing vocals while the organ track hums softly in the background. The video is a near perfect accompaniment to the composition, featuring Mandell performing in solitude from the comfort of a lakeside cabin, and precious footage of her interacting with a pair of toddlers.
